Oliver McConnie sent in this etching he made. He says, “I’m a 21 year old artist and just graduated from art school. I saw Jake Chapman’s blog page, I thought maybe he would like my etching as it is influenced very much by his art.”

Is destruction a necessary process?

The Young Tate group in Liverpool have made videos of their responses to Jake Chapman’s question ‘Is destruction a necessary process in overcoming traditional forms of art?’

Here they talk about the Chapman challenge and the 2007 Turner Prize, which has been in Liverpool for the first time.
